Bioshock 4 Screenshot Leaked Online.

An alleged Bioshock 4 screenshot has surfaced online, making fans speculate about the franchise's future.

An alleged Bioshock 4 screenshot has recently surfaced online. It features a slick and modern user interface with what looks like time-manipulating powers. We can also see its familiarly modern font used on all previous titles.

In the image we can see a tower holding some sort of 'sun' which serves as a heat and energy source in a rather cold, uninhabitable environment. The player is also holding a weapon called the 'Richochet Shotgun' which seems to be powered by a nuclear source.

Perhaps the game will focus substantially on nuclear fission or the ability to harness such power.

It's safe to say the game will still be a first-person shooter, like the prequels. It is no secret that the game has been in development, and that it will narratively consider the events of the previous games. According to journalist Colin Moriarty, the game will take place during the 1960s in the Antarctic city of 'Borealis'. A bit weird if you ask me. Aurora Borealis is a phenomenon that occurs in the North Pole (Artic), while the Aurora Australis is the same phenomenon but in the South Pole Antarctic).

Looks like the franchise is moving away from sunken cities and floating fortresses to take place in the South Pole.

What are your thoughts on the Bioshock 4 leaked screenshot? Did you expect the game to take place in the South Pole? Let me know in the comments below.
