Attention PS Plus Subscribers! May's Catalogue is Amazing.

April was a good month for PS Plus Extended and Premium subscribers; this time, May's catalogue comes out with a lot of great games.

The PlayStation blog recently posted the full list of games coming to PlayStation Plus Extended and Premium for the month of May. Apart from the 3 monthly games that are already available, PS Plus listed other PS4 and PS5 titles alongside classic games. These are usually available the next couple of weeks after the monthly games are released.

These games are sometimes hit and miss, but recently, Sony has upped its game and has been releasing great titles that justify paying for the Extended and Premium tiers.

April was a great month, but we received the news that the PlayStation Catalogue, and other games were going to be removed from PS Plus. The good thing is that you can claim the Catalogue games and get to keep them; the others will unfortunately be removed.

The list of April's games included Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Doom Eternal, and in the Classics section the original Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, and Doom 64. It looks like Bethesda is pushing strong because Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are on the list. Other great titles are Dishonored: Definitive Edition, The Evil Within, and Sackboy.

Rider's Republic was added to the list of great Ubisoft titles available, however, this game relies heavily on season passes and extra content that you have to purchase. Too bad the version included in PS Plus is the basic one.

I don't recommend just paying for the extra content since you will not really own the game. Remember that Ubisoft removed Assassin's Creed: Valhalla from the list of games in Ubisoft+; nothing guarantees Rider's Republic will be there for a long time.

It's 'gonna' be May

May's titles carry over the great games we got in April. For instance, we got the sequel for The Evil Within and Dishonored; another game that expands the list is Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which is a spinoff of the franchise.

Other worthy titles are the whole Tomb Raider games developed by Square Enix like Tomb Rider: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Regarding current-gen titles, surprisingly, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart makes the list. This game was one of the PlayStation 5's launch titles. Bus Simulator 21 is another PS5 title on the list, but the one that really got our attention is Watchdogs: Legion. You can now play Watchdogs 2 and its sequel if you have a PS Plus membership.

We are getting yet another brand-new release included on PS Plus; last time we had Tchia, and this time we are getting Humanity.

If you have been following the Syphon Filter franchise on PS Plus, this month we get Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow with a PS4 and PS5 downloadable version. The games use an emulator to run, but they do the job incredibly well.

You can benefit from all the goodness emulators provide like saving and loading multiple states instantly, being able to rewind, or to customize screen filters and aspect ratio.

Check out the full list here.

What are your thoughts on some of the games on the list? Are you going to play a few? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy gaming.
